At WINTER, we are dedicated to empowering women through workforce development, creating opportunities for growth, and fostering a culture of excellence. We are committed to providing transformative services that support the unique needs and aspirations of the women we serve. We strive for excellence in every aspect of our work, from skill-building and career training to providing resources for long-term success.

The 10-week, tuition-free program exclusively trains, educates and prepares women for careers in the union building and construction trades. The training uses a habit-forming model, which introduces, connects and engages women to harness a lifetime dedication in one of over forty different trades available throughout the region.  Instructors use the Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3), from the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). The curriculum covers industry and trades awareness, tools and materials, construction math, diversity awareness, sexual harassment, CPR/First Aid, OSHA and financial literacy among others. The enrollment process starts with a two-day bootcamp, designed to assess endurance and mental toughness. At graduation, each participant has the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed as a tradeswoman.
